Instrumental Roadshows
Studies have shown that the numbers of children beginning instrumental tuition at key stage 3 and 4 are falling due to the increased pressures of their academic work.
Through our instrumental roadshows, we aim to provide more musical opportunities at Key Stage 2 and support the Music Manifesto's pledge of...
"Making every child's music matter".
We are usually able to allocate funding to deliver the Roadshow at no cost to the school. Through our exiting demonstrations, we aim to inspire the children to want to play, practice and most of all perform on a musical instrument.
We also organize the provision of lessons at the school for any children who have been inspired by what they have seen!
… always very exiting for the children!
Demonstrations normally last around 30 minutes and are highly participative…. and always very exiting for the children!
The demonstrations show many different aspects of playing the instrument, including the various different genres of music it is used in, specific techniques and music reading etc. We also explain to the children during the demonstration how much dedication and commitment learning a musical instrument requires.
SCAMPS take full responsibility of timetables, enrolment and costs
Following the demonstration, we invite the interested children to take an enrolment form home to discuss lessons with their parents. If they decide to go ahead with lessons, they return the form to the school office or post it back to our head office.
Once forms have been returned to us we can schedule lessons to fit in with the school's timetable requirements. As part of the road show funding, SCAMPS take full responsibility of timetabling, enrolment and all costs associated with the set up of lessons.
